Robert Peterson, Sr. Partner

Bob is a senior industry executive who has worked across the energy value chain for operators, service companies, manufacturers, and private equity. He assists executive teams in setting strategy and developing and implementing action plans to achieve those objectives. With 40 years of industry and consulting experience, Bob has held senior executive positions at ExxonMobil and Schlumberger. He holds a BS in Physics from Carleton, a BSEE from Michigan Tech., and an Executive MBA from SMU.

Beginning his career at ExxonMobil, Bob rose to a series of senior technical and management positions, ultimately managing global geoscience research and technical services.
In that role, his organization discovered and booked over 1 billion barrels of reserves in its last year of operation. Over the years, he has built three major energy consultancies, with cumulative revenue growth of over $200mm. During his career, he has consulted with over 75 energy clients. He currently advises four energy technology startups.

Michael Permack, Sr. Partner, Governor General Award

Michael has had a 22 year career as as entrepreneur. He has worked in commercial real estate with clients such as Halliburton, Shell, Exxon and the Canadian Medical Association. Over the last 10 years he built Spire Group to cater to the unique needs of healthcare industry. He has performed or overseen 3,500 transactions involving development, leases, purchases and sales in North America. 

He also worked for Great West Life as a turnaround specialist in real estate and with Grosvenor as an asset manager. He is most proud moment was helping to turn around the Canadian Cancer Society for which he received a Governor General Award for Volunteers. Michael is an Ivey MBA graduate and where he placed on the Dean’s List. Michael’s gift is that he sees how to connect people for mutual benefit.

Alex is a founder specializing in the intersection between finance, technology and media, founding Wealth Letter. Wealth Letter is a financial publication garnering between 3-5 million readers a month.

Through his experience starting, operating, and ultimately removing himself from the business, Alex gained a breadth of knowledge and experience in capital markets, building business systems, and strategic planning. His current holdings are significant equity positions in publicly traded precious metals, battery metals and technology companies.
